natural learners & teachers

Every child has a natural drive and ability to learn and develop the skills required for a happy and healthy life.

Children closely observe and assess how their grown-ups interact with the world to build their own strategies and skills.
Naturally, the parent is the best person to guide their child in learning.

Early Years Aquatics sessions are built around positive experiences and interactions between the child and their significant adult in the pool.

nurturing environment

Water offers unique movement possibilities, rich sensory experiences and is easy to play and interact with for a human of any age.

My sessions take place in warm, accessible pools with water temperature between 31 - 34 degrees.

Lots of play, some songs, nursery rhymes, toys and games make every session a memorable experience.

lead by example

During Early Years Aquatics adults are supported and empowered to guide their children in their aquatic learning.

That means that adults actively model how to successfully and safely navigate and move in the aquatic environment for their children.

Expect to get your face and hair wet and join in the fun of learning through play.

individual approach

I am convinced that honoring the unique personalities and needs of each swimmer is vital for successful learning.

Proposed activities are tailored to support  harmonious development and match preferences and needs of both kids and adults.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve got a question about Early Years Aquatics you should be able to find your answer here. If you can’t find what you are looking for below, please get in touch and I will do my best to answer swiftly.

When can I start Early Years Aquatics sessions with my child?

You are welcome to join group sessions  for babies in Revive when your baby is over 14 weeks old and ideally weighing over 5kg.

If you would like to introduce your baby to the water sooner, please contact me, so we can discuss available options.

How long are the sessions?

Baby Aquatic sessions are 30 min long.
Babies use a lot of energy during our activities and to keep warm in the water. This is an optimal time to make sure they are comfortable, happy and can make the most of our water adventures.

Toddler Aquatics sessions and PlayPool sessions are 45 min long.

How many people are in each group?

There is a maximum of 5 child & adult pairs per group. This allows individual approach and a nice group of friends to play and learn with.

What do i need to bring with me for the session?

For the sessions you will need:

  1. swimming nappy

  2. baby swimming costume – with tight seals around the legs and waist to protect the swimming nappy

  3. swimming costume for yourself

  4. towels

  5. shower gel, shampoo

  6. change of shoes for the poolside

You might also want to bring a snack for after the session. ;)

What if my child is unwell?

You should not bring your child for a class if they are unwell. If in doubt - please consult your pediatrician.

Do I need to be able to swim to bring my baby to the classes?

The ability to swim is not required to take part in early years aquatics sessions.

The sessions take place in the shallow end of the pool where you can stand easily. You will receive professional guidance and support to make sure you are comfortable and confident in the water too.

Can I bring my family/friends to watch us swim?

You are very welcome to bring someone with you, but we ask that you use your common sense on the number you bring at once.
Anybody that enters poolside must wear change of shoes or shoe covers and abide to the pool rules.

How do I pay?

You can pay by card online, by bank transfer, cash on the day or by Revolut payment.
All the details will be sent to you with the booking confirmation email.

Can both parents attend?

Usually only one adult comes into the water with each child, unless we agree on a different number beforehand.

Do you offer refunds for missed classes?

The booking fee in non-refundable.

The session fee is charged only for the sessions that you have attended.
