What do we do?
Over the past years SwimAid has supported many individuals in overcoming their challenges through swimming.
Our team of therapists and coaches provides regular sessions to a number of children and adults of all abilities.
Thanks to kind donations collected during SwimAid fundraising events we are able to sponsor weekly individual therapy and coaching.
Partnering with several swimming-pools across Malta allows our swimmers to benefit from aquatic activities at discounted prices.

Swim Aid was launched in 2011 via its first initiative, Swim to See; a 37km swim around Gozo to help the Malta Guide Dog for the Blind Foundation.
Enough funds were collected to buy two specialised dogs from abroad and have them trained.
In 2012, Swim Aid once again swam around Gozo to help Joseph Bugeja, who had lost three limbs in a work-related incident. Funds collected allowed for a special prosthetic arm to be purchased as well as an electric car to further help him with his mobility.
Swim Aid 2015 and 2017 were two fantastic swimming challenges that helped secure funds for SilverLining swimming club and SwimAid therapy sessions for people of all abilities.
During the past 6 years SwimAid has provided hundereds of hours of individual coaching and therapy to babies, children, teenagers and adults with various challenges and disabilities.

Brain and heart
behind it all
Simon Zammit - privately a businessman, who in his free time, set up and runs SwimAid.
This is what I want to see happen: have more persons take up swimming as a sport and make them realize that they can overcome their challenges in more ways than one.
I tend to focus on their abilities.
